Our authentication vendor, EZProxy, will be performing scheduled maintenance on Sunday, 11/24/2024, from 7am until 11:30am Central Time. During this time, access to subscription material may be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
As of 11pm CT on Friday, 9/14/2024, the library's authentication system will be undergoing routine maintenance, scheduled to last until 11am CT on Saturday, 9/14/2024. During this period, users will not be able to access any full-text that is subscription-based or requires authentication. The Search Everything system and open access resources should still be available, though users will not be able to follow any full-text links from the Search Everything system while maintenance is ongoing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
As of 5pm CT, the vendor reports this degradation as resolved. Internal testing confirms access to subscription databases appears to be restored.
As of 4:30pm CT on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, our vendor OCLC (which hosts the EZProxy service) reports that there is a service degradation. EZProxy is our main method of authentication for access to subscription content; as such, this degradation prevents all Chamberlain users from accessing subscription full text. There is currently no ETA for a fix from the vendor. We appreciate your patience and apologize on behalf of the vendor for any inconvenience this outage may cause.
Between approximately 8pm--9:15pm CT on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, the vendor OCLC will be performing maintenance on our EZProxy system. This will prevent all subscription access to full text sources, unless they are provided by an open access vendor/publisher. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Vendor OCLC will be performing scheduled maintenance on several systems, including EZProxy, from 11pm CT on 6/6/2023 through approximately 5am CT on 6/7/2023. This may affect users' ability to access all library resources, as EZProxy is vital to our patron authentication process.
On Friday, August 5, 2022, two vendors -- OCLC and Springshare -- will be conducting scheduled maintenance on multiple systems. This maintenance may intermittently prevent users from accessing articles, ebooks, databases, and other library resources.

As of 8:00AM on Sunday, July 31, 2022, a critical piece of infrastructure provided by OCLC which is responsible for enabling access to full text articles and most databases is currently offline due to an outage.
The library team is investigating at this time, but there's not currently an ETA for a full restoration of service.
During this time, you may encounter errors which read "chamberlainuniversity.idm.oclc.org took too long to respond" or similar -- if you do, please wait and try again at a later time.
We sincerely apologize for the downtime and will work as quickly as we can to restore normal operation.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, starting at 7:00AM Central and lasting until 11:30AM Central, all library articles, ebooks, and databases will be unavailable due to a planned outage scheduled by our vendor OCLC.
During this time, users will be unable to access most materials in the library, and the library will essentially be "closed." Please plan to wait until after 11:30AM on Sunday, June 5, 2022 before resuming your research.

As of 8:20PM on February 16, 2021, OCLC is reporting a system degradation impacting the "Search Articles", "Search eBooks", and "Search Videos" tabs, as well as the "Search eJournals" system. During this period, searches may be slow, or fail to complete, and you may see error messages indicating that no results were found. Please use the "Search Everything" during this time, as it is not impacted by the outage. The vendor has not provided an ETA for a resolution, but they are actively working on the problem. We appreciate your patience.

An outage at our vendor, OCLC, is causing searches in the "Articles", "eBooks", and "Videos" tabs, as well as the "Search eJournals" tool to display messages reading "A system error has occurred". We are investigating at this time, but the outage appears to be intermittent. Please use the "Everything" tab as an alternative for the time being. We do not have an ETA from the vendor for a restoration of service.
The EZProxy issue causing slowdowns and failed page loads has been resolved, and services have returned to normal.
As of 8:30AM on 8/20/2020, the library team is tracking an issue with the EZProxy system that enables access to subscription databases, search systems, and other key parts of the library's infrastructure. If you encounter slow response times, pages that fail to load, or other errors this morning, please wait and try your search again. We are actively working to investigate, and apologize for any difficulty.

As of 7:00PM on 8/14/2020, OCLC is reporting a service degredation in the EZProxy system that enables access to most library services. Pages may be slow to load, and there may be occasional errors. If you encounter problems, please wait a few moments and try again.

During the two-hour maintenance period, library services may be unavailable or slow to respond. OCLC is aware of problems with OCLC-hosted services through the United States Data Center, which affects users throughout the US and in other parts of the world. These issues are caused by a problem with an external internet service provider. OCLC is monitoring the status and will continue to work with the vendor to escalate resolution.
Received some reports that searching is working slow today.
All the issues 9/25-27/18 were from the third party vendors, EBSCO and OCLC’s WMS, which experienced server interruptions. We were immediately in communication with the vendors to report our experience and keep our users informed through posting announcements in the box on the library home page.
