How do I find U.S. based journals or research articles?

Unfortunately, there are no filters to limit by geography in the databases, except for CINAHL. Before you search, you must clarify with your professor if the article needs to report the findings of a study conducted in the United States or if you need a journal published there.

  • To find a study conducted in the United States, you must read through the article to determine where the study was conducted. Usually, the abstract or methodology section will provide this information.
  • To find a journal published in the United States, you will need to use a search engine, like Google, to find the journal website. Once you are on the journal website, look for pages about the journal, like an About Us page, to determine where the journal was published.
