How do I find peer-reviewed articles?

Peer review means the publications are evaluated by qualified professionals to determine the accuracy of the information and the methods used. The library databases have both peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed publications.

Filter for Peer-Reviewed Articles in the Library

  1. Start your search from the Search Everything box on the library homepage.
  2. Enter your keywords into the search box, and select Search.
  3. Under Filter Results on the left-hand side of the search results page, select Peer-Reviewed Journals and Articles.

Determine if a Journal is Peer-Reviewed

  1. Enter the name of the journal into Google or another search engine.
  2. Select the journal's website from the search results.
  3. Locate the About Us, About or For Authors page on their website to find a mention of their peer-reviewed process, if one is used.
