Peer review means the publications are evaluated by qualified professionals to determine the accuracy of the information and the methods used.  Here is a link to a longer definition in the database CREDO

Databases may have both peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed publications.  

To search for only peer-reviewed articles, in the database...select ...advanced search...look for a selection that allows only peer-reviewed articles.

OR...Google the name of the journal and...look for information on the journal's home page such as Author information or...About us.
